Twenty two-year-old Juan Avila was charged with three felonies. Count one of armed robbery, count two of misconduct with weapons and a third count of aggravated assault.
Surveillance cameras captured the suspect’s car and an un-obstructed image of his face.
During a traffic stop police arrested Avila who they determined to be the suspect.
During the time of the robbery, police say Avila demanded money using a pump action shotgun that he pointed at a store clerk.
YPD officials say a shotgun was recovered in the back seat during Avila’s arrest.
Avila’s bond is set for 150,000 dollars cash only and his preliminary hearing is set for this Friday.
