Yuma lettuce goes nationwide for Thanksgiving

Local lettuce is make its way around the country for Thanksgiving.
Workers at JV Farms, right here in Yuma, are harvesting romaine lettuce from the local fields.
This batch, is set to head out to store shelves all over the United States, and even parts of Canada — before and after Thanksgiving.
From Yuma, the lettuce goes to Salinas, California where it’s then distributed.
The LA area usually gets it’s produce in time to load shelves the following morning.
