Yuma City Council to discuss contract for The Hills Patio and Bar

YUMA, Ariz. – The City of Yuma will hold a special council meeting tomorrow morning. They are set to discuss a hot topic – the management of a restaurant at Desert Hills Golf Course.

The contract would be with Chef Alex Trujillo, a Yuma native known nationally for his culinary achievements.

Before Trujillo can get to work at the hills Patio and Bar, City Council must vote to approve the assignment.

Just last year, the City agreed upon a 5 year contract with Franks Family Dining. The owner, Frank Maisano has since stepped down. No word on why.

The agreement with Chef Alex was supposed to be voted on at a previous meeting, but council members asked for more time for further discussion.

We reached out to Chef Alex Trujillo, but I haven’t received a response.

The meeting will take place at Yuma City Hall tomorrow at 11 a.m.
