YUMA, Ariz. – The Yuma Police Department has released the identity of a man who died after he was shot in the chest Monday night. YPD identified the man as 20-year-old Alan Cruz Palafox.
Monday at 10:06 p.m., YPD officers responded to the 600 Block of 16th Ave. for a report of shots fired.
The initial investigation revealed an unknown person(s) fired multiple rounds striking Palafox in the chest. The victim was taken to the Yuma Regional Medical Center where he later died.
Detectives are still actively investigating this case.
