YPD identifies Avenue 3E crash victims

YUMA, Ariz. – The Yuma Police Department has identified the three people involved in a crash on Avenue 3E near Marine Corps Air Station Yuma Friday. YPD said the passenger of the silver Ford Mustang was 20-year-old Alexander Gomes. He died at Yuma Regional Medical Center.

Officers identified the driver of the Mustang as 22-year-old Julian McDaniel. He is at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix listed in stable condition.

 

Officers responded to the crash Friday at 6:37 p.m. Police said the silver Ford Mustang was northbound on Avenue 3E and the white Ford F 150 was southbound on 3E when the driver of the Mustang lost control and collided with the truck.

The driver of the Ford truck, 29-year-old Victor Gil, had minor injuries.

The collision is under investigation.
