USMC Battle Color Detachment performing in Yuma


YUMA, Ariz. –  Arizona Western College is proud to announce it’s partnering with the United States Marine Corps Battle Color Detachment. The free performance is at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium, located at 7150 E. 24th Street, Friday, March 6.  Gates open at 6 p.m. and the performance starts at 7 p.m.

The Marine Corps Battle Color Detachment is a ceremonial unit from Marine Barracks Washington, featuring “The Commandant’s Own”, The United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, The United States Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon, and the Official Color Guard of the Marine Corps. Each year, this highly skilled unit travels worldwide to demonstrate the discipline, professionalism, and “Es¬prit de Corps” of United States Marines.

Following a precise training schedule in Yuma, Arizona, the Battle Color Detachment will launch its 2015 season traveling to the Marine Corps Installations and communities on the West and East Coast of the United States.
