Toddler drowns in family pool

YUMA, Ariz. – The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the drowning of a toddler.

Deputies were called out to a home in the area of East Cecelia Lane and South Tierra Mesa Lane for a toddler who was unresponsive in a pool at around 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The child was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center where he later died shortly after 11:30 a.m.
