YUMA, Ariz.- Splash out cancer was held at Z Fun Factory in Yuma. This was all in effort to raise money for Johnny Weather a local Yuma boy that is battling for his life. Weather was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma a type of cancer that grows tumors in bones. Over the past year Weather has gone through multiple surgeries including removing tumors from his lungs and diaphragm as well as a knee replacement. Now, his family is being surrounded by an exuberate amount of assistance from the community.
Kristan Sheppeard organized the event in an effort to raise money for medical costs. Many local businesses also offered to be sponsors and helped put this event together. One of the main sponsors was the Z factory which not only donated their venue. They also offered a percentage of sales from food to outdoor activities at Z fun factory which went to the family.
While on the outside there were many fun things to participate in including miniature golf, Go-Kart racing and fun at the water park. The inside of the venue had a long table with silent auction items, for guests to bid on.
