Police young girls approached in suspicious incidents near Yuma schools

YUMA, Ariz. -Police say young girls were approached in two separate incidents by an older man near Yuma area schools. On Saturday at 9:41 a.m. the Yuma Police Department responded to the 2600 block of W 20th St. where allegedly a male approached two juvenile girls in the area and asked them to watch him masturbate. The girls refused and the male then drove away westbound on 20th St.

He male was described as being between 60 and 70-years-old, white hair and no facial hair.  His vehicle was described as a burgundy four door truck with an unknown Arizona license plate.

On Wednesday Yuma Police responded to a call for another suspicious incident nearby in the 2600 block of W 22nd St. where a 13-year-old girl was walking home at around 2:20 p.m. Police say an elderly male grabbed her wrist after she said hello.  The Juvenile pulled away and continued to walk to where her mother was standing and the male turned around and left the area.

He was described as a Hispanic male, between 70 and 80-years-old and approximately 5’7” to 5’9” with a slender build. He has gray hair with a black moustache and was last seen wearing a red long sleeve shirt, blue pants and brown work boots.
