Plaque mounted for Marine in Araby crash

A plaque is mounted for Staff Sergeant Luke Love, who lost his life when his off-road vehicle crashed and caught fire on Araby Road, August 1, 2015.
Now a plaque at Yuma Armed Forces Park, for Sergeant Love, will honor his service in the same community he once served.
Sgt. Major James Willeford, VMFA 121, says, “we’re all a very tight close group in this aviation community here we all share the same flight line we all pretty much know each other. So these marines knew staff sergeant love very well, he was very well respected. So the impact of his death was hard on the community at large.”
Luke Love is survived by his wife and two children. Love was a Staff Sergeant for 9 years.
News 11’s Asal Rezaei will have more on this story on KYMA’s early edition at 5 p.m.
