HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – The second day of the PAC-12 Media Day event featured representatives from the Arizona State Sun Devils football team.
Head coach Todd Graham, Wide Receiver Tim White and Defensive Lineman Tashon Smallwood stepped up to the stage and met with various media pundits.
The Devils are coming off the first down year in the Todd Graham era, finishing at 6-7 overall with one of the worst passing defenses in the nation. High media expectations aren’t given to ASU this time around, as the Devils are picked to finish fifth in the PAC-12 South division.
A few big issues that surround this year’s team is replacing 4 of the 5 starters on the offensive line and practically the entire secondary on defense. But, likely the biggest headline of the team is the battle for the starting quarterback spot between four potential suitors. Manny Wilkins, Bryce Perkins, Brady White and Sterling Cole will all be competing for the coveted spot up until the Devil’s opening game in early September.
None of them have ever thrown a pass in collegiate football game.
ASU opens up at home against Northern Arizona on September 3rd.
