Offensive sign sparks outrage in a Yuma community

Yuma, Ariz. – A man at the Loma Vista Estates in Yuma displayed a sign on his property filled with hateful comments, including ones discriminatory to women and homosexuality, which has upset his neighbors. They say the sign has been up for over two weeks. Residents say they have complained to the Home Owners Association but nothing has been done. Many residents said that children have seen the sign, which they say is unacceptable. Also residents are worried that people who try to sell their homes in the area will miss out on buyers due to the message on the sign. The community is outside the Yuma city limits so the city can’t take action. We notified the county of the incident and are waiting for a response.
