DANVILLE, Calif. (AP) – A 19-year-old Northern California woman died in a crash after fleeing from Danville police in a stolen vehicle.
The Contra Costa Times reports that Hannah Meecham was killed and two passengers, a 19-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man, were injured after the crash early Sunday morning.
Danville police Chief Steve Simpkins says the crash occurred after a five-mile chase. Police were pursuing the car because of suspected reckless driving. After the crash, they learned the car had been reported stolen out of Dublin.
Police pronounced Meecham dead at the scene. The two injured passengers are listed in critical condition.
