Magnitude 4.9 quake in Baja California, Mexico felt in Desert Southwest

BAJA CALIFORNIA, Mexico – A magnitude 4.9 earthquake hit Baja California, Mexico Sunday night. The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake’s epicenter was located 52 miles from Camalu, Mexico. It hit at about 6:45 p.m. (MST).

The quake was felt throughout the Desert Southwest. So far no serious damages have been reported.
