High school seniors come together at YUHSD board meeting to look back at accomplishments

YUMA, Ariz. – On Wednesday the Yuma Union High School Governors Board held their meeting at city hall. Several high school seniors from every school in the district came out to showcase their schools accomplishments from the school year.

Kofa high school was presented an award for being excellent at career readiness, the award was presented by the ACT organization. Kofa is the only school in Arizona to receive this award. Which is given not only for high grades but by student success against all odds.

Toni Badone, the superintendent of YUHSD, says that this senior class has earned more scholarship money than any other class before them in the district. The class of 2015 graduates next week.
