YUMA, Ariz. – Rhett Stallworth closed out his coaching tender with Yuma Catholic in style; winning three state championships in his last five seasons.
Now, former assistant coach, Aaron Cheatwood, takes the helm; and those expectations are as high as they have ever been.
Cheatwood inherits a solid nucleus of talent, with explosive play makers like Jaylen Barnes and Julius Aitken on offense and standout defensive end Daniel Callendar; who will be a terror to opposing quarterbacks this fall.
The Rocks also have James Stover starting at quarterback; after suffering a season ending ACL injury in training camp a year ago.
YC opens up their season at home against Saint Mary’s on August 26th.
