YUMA, Ariz. – The Yuma Police Department said the driver of a Jeep was cited after crashing with a Rural Metro ambulance Friday. YPD said the crash happened Friday at 1:58 p.m. near 10th Avenue and 16th Street.
The investigation shows that an ambulance operated by Rural Metro was travelling eastbound on 16th St from Ave. A. Police said a red 1998 Jeep Cherokee was travelling westbound in the center lane and attempted to make a left turn southbound onto 10th St. in front of the ambulance. The Rural Metro ambulance struck the side of the Jeep.
No injuries were reported from the crash. The driver of the Jeep was cited for failure to yield.
