EL CENTO, Calif. – For the second time this season, the Central Spartans and Southwest Eagles had scores to settle with one another for what everyone knows as bragging rights.
Southwest had tons of confidence going into it’s home finale against their crosstown rivals. After all, they shut the Spartans out in their own pitch back in late January.
This time around, the Spartans were the team with a little more edge in their play. Central would pick up a goal towards the middle of the first half, while the defense would do the rest.
The Spartans would take the 2-0 shutout win to take the city championship and give the Eagles their first IVL loss, as the season winds down later this week.
